This week we look at how to reduce the emails in your inbox after the weekend or even when you have come back from holiday. Have you ever lost an hour or even half a day catching up with emails?

The worst part of email is conversations that were from last week that are not relevant to this week. Shifting through all that noise is hurting businesses and even as staff members you may feel that you have to read the emails in your own time with the workloads you have each day.

Microsoft Teams allows you to work as a team, sharing your communication, files and even video calling each other (even from a smart phone). This way you can get the information you need without sending long emails to each other, reference one file and get the answers you need in minutes.

Microsoft Teams is part of Office 365 to get the best use of it's features, but for files and communications, you can bring in Teams using your existing IT set up.

Still using Skype for Business?
Microsoft are moving away from Skype for Business and utilising Microsoft Teams as the one app for communication, projects, group calls, file sharing and so on. This will help reduce email in the workplace. If you are using Skype for Business, then plan to move to Microsoft Teams before 2020.
