Getting the best value from software makes your investment worth while. Picking the wrong option can hurt your pocket.
Before we carry on
When you purchase Microsoft Office, think about the following:
-Functionality
-Cost
-Storage
-How many computers / phones will I install it on?
Before September 2018, Office 2016 was the most up to date version of Office we are using. If you like staying up to date with the new software, then you may have held back and waited for the release of Office 2019.
Microsoft have been offering a subscription model of Office called Office 365. This is where you may monthly (or up to a year early to get a discount) and you can be on the latest version of Office with regular updates. You also gain access to 1TB (or 1024GB) of online storage in the Microsoft Cloud. Unlike many providers, Microsoft have datacenters across multiple countries and it's unlikely that your data will be kept outside the country you are in. This is a plus point for businesses who want to ensure they only deal with the local legislation.
In our video below we explain the benefits of Office 2016, Office 2019 and Office 365 for families and businesses. Knowing the best option for your needs can help you decide which option will be the best investment.
If you listen to point 5 in the video we uncover the true cost of office and how you can get the most from office whilst keeping your costs down. Understand the numbers if you want to save money or understand the features if you want to the most functional product for your needs.
The solution is not the same for everyone. Looking at the differences, helps us determine if one solution would benefit you over another.
In this article we discussed the Office application. However Microsoft also refers to Office 365 for business where they can host your emails. If this is a feature you a looking for, you can find out more about Office 365 for Business. You can also benefit from editing files at the same time with team members even when you are not in the same location.
